Our Story
Uno Mas is more than just a tortilla factory. We're a mission-driven company committed to making a positive impact in the lives of first-generation Latino families in our community. Our story began with Iglesia El Buen Samaritano, a Lake Forest Church Plant in Huntersville, North Carolina.
El Buen Samaritano is a comprehensive support hub for the local Latino community. It offers a wide range of services, including language classes, tutoring, college application assistance, food delivery, medical assistance, legal counsel, marriage counseling, and efforts to improve police relations. Every tortilla sold helps us fund programs that holistically address local Latinos' spiritual, physical, and communal needs.
We realized that providing fresh, authentic tortillas was more than just a business opportunity. It was a way to support our community and foster a sense of belonging for Latino immigrants through our resource center and church.
